In recent times, we have observed at some pressure increasing day by day on the Throne of Brazil, even with the end of the War of Houses and Dilma Rousseff’s victory in the last great battle. We have witnessed the rise and the influence of new Houses and leaders while others are weakened and some have even succumbed by time and wastage
Leaders of Toucan’s Valley, great adversaries of Houses Rousseff and Lula are just waiting for the next opportunity to strike. But this is not the only threat to the Red hegemony on the throne. While the new War of Houses has not started yet, the queen fights to keep allies at her side.
Negotiations with lords of the Middlegarden have been increasingly costly to the Royal House, which has to deal with setbacks created by the conflicting relationship with the House Cunha and its Army of the Lower Clergy – a group of representatives elected by the people, who do not have much individual power, but become strong together. In addition, the Queen is concerned about her image across the kingdom, constantly attacked by hordes of Public Walkers, unsatisfied about the crown resolutions.
The scenery changes, parts are realigned and the puzzle of the War of Thrones of Brazilian Politics makes the game of power even more disputed and uncertain. How will be the future of the Brazilian Iron Throne?

The last war gave more visibility to this House. Until then, Eduardo Campos, their leader, though heir to the remarkable family Arraes, was virtually unknown outside its territory. By entering the war with the colors of his own house, Eduardo teamed his shields to the House Marina and led the Northern Summer forces until his tragic death. So, the Northern Alliance has deposited in Marina Silva its hope to react and win the power struggle, which has not happened.

Due to the blows suffered in the last war and to the sudden loss of their leader, the House Campos tries to reorganize itself and find a new successor. The one who currently leads the forces of this House is Eduardo's widow, Renata Campos.

Although devastated and divided, the lands of the Northern Summer still count on several influential masters and can gather their forces again, just in time for the next Great War of Houses.

It is one of the most isolated houses of the kingdom today. Its leader, Marina Silva, has, for a long time, tried to create her own house for fighting in a politically independent way, but was unsuccessful. In order to fight the battles of the War of Houses, she has joined Eduardo Campos and figured close to him during his early struggles as an important captain. With the fall of the leader in battle, Marina was presented with one great chance: taking command of the combined forces from the Northern Summer and win the war to conquer the throne. However, the northern hope was not maintained, as this new leader was defeated before the last battle.

Although several of her allies remain loyal to the Northern Alliance, Marina should no longer be connected to House Campos. Many say that she is prepared to build her own house in the kingdom, what would make her dream of acting independently to come true, despite her weakening after the last war.

Although not exactly sharing the same ideology as the crown in the Age of the Red Ones, the House Calheiros has teamed up to Houses Rousseff and Lula on guiding the kingdom after the last War of Houses – and its role has been essential to making political gear turn in favor of the crown.

The Lord Protector of this House, Renan Calheiros, occupies the highest position of command in one of the two large bases chosen by the people to dialogue with the queen and her Small Council on the Brazilian laws. He has recently recovered an old alliance with the former deposed king, Fernando Collor, which might increase the strength of his negotiations with the Iron Throne.

In addition, the leader of this House is the fourth name in the royal succession line.

It had national recognition by the hands of Lord José Serra, with whom it still maintains a respectful relationship. Its greatest skill is the friendly traffic on the most important houses of the kingdom, in which plays an important role, as it has the function to build agreements and alliances to ensure the kingdom its leadership status.

The leader of the house, Gilberto Kassab, says he has not come from the Free Cities but does not fit as a member of the East Peninsula, either. Today he is allied to the Iron Throne though they are not necessarily sharing the same flags.

The House Kassab has recently joined the history of the kingdom. After adopting various unhappy lords under its protection, it has further grown its political influence and strength in mediating agreements.

Gilberto has a good relationship with the Red Leaders, especially with House Lula, and remains loyal to the Brazilian throne.

It won its first War of Houses 13 years ago, when the Age of the Red Ones began. Its leader is considered by some as the most loved of all the past occupiers of the Throne. Lula remains vital in the game of power, although nowadays he exerts less influence on the realm decisions, just presenting some opinions and timely advices to the Queen’s Landing.

Those who miss the early years of the Age of the Red Ones would appreciate if their great leader had fought the last battle. Many of them still hope that he returns to command his troops and conquer the Iron Throne again.

Currently, the House is focused on helping the queen with the duties of the Throne, but there are rumors that Lula intends to present a possible successor, if he is not able to lead the army once again.

This house holds the Iron Throne, governs Brazilian lands and has also the largest number of allies. Its leader, Dilma Rousseff, who used to be part of the House Lula, has conquered her own space and remained away from her master’s political beliefs. Although she still maintains a close relationship with her political mentor, she no longer accepts his guidelines as before, keeping only a bridge composed of three allies in common. She has created her own Small Council which has guided her, from the selection of masters to statements for beyond the court.

Its borders have been guarded by the Knights of the Throne and the Gomes brothers, lords of the Fortresses lands.

The victory in the last war against the Toucan’s Valley and the Northern Summer Houses has ensured her stay in the highest position of the kingdom, but not her peace.

ds of defeated houses continue encouraging their followers to resist against the leadership. Recently, the House Rousseff has suffered threats of some groups of Public Walkers: mass dissenting voices challenging the validity of the last war and the wisdom of the Red Leaders. The pressure on the Throne has increased.

Since the first victory of the present queen, this House is one of the supporting pillars of the Throne. The alliance between the Houses Rousseff and Temer was sealed with the appointment of Michel Temer, their leader, as the Hand of the King - although many in the kingdom consider him a hand of little influence, almost figurative in real decisions. Although Temer is not seen as one of the great leaders of the kingdom, he d assume the obligations of the Throne in the absence of the queen.

Due to this sanctified union, the doors of House Rousseff open up to the negotiation e conquest of influence among the lords of the Middlegarden, which have recognized and traditional power over Brazilian lands.

Disunity among the lords, however, frequently results in a need of individual negotiations with the various forces in the region.

The master of the house, Eduardo Cunha, has a great influence on some of the lords from the Middlegarden and has gained more attention in recent years, mainly for showing his activity in the fight for power. Despite the good relationship with the House Temer, this house is only an occasional ally for the Brazilian Throne, as it seems to have its own plans for the future.

Eduardo also maintains strong relationships with priests and conservative leaders of the Christian Islands, and has won the support of many spears of the Lower Clergy Army. He is willing to defend the interests of these groups by using all his strength.

Cunha is the third in the line of succession, which causes its leader to take the throne if the heads of Houses Rousseff and Temer are unable to govern.

José Serra, leader of this House, was chosen to lead the forces of the Valley in the first war for succession of the former Toucan’s king, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, but was not successful in most battles against Houses Lula and Dilma. He was even defeated by pupils of the Red Leader in regional battles, however, emerged victorious in the last confrontation in his home territory.

Despite of losing the leadership of Toucan’s Valley’s army and having suffered from the migration of several influential lords to the lands of Aécio Neves, Serra House is still active in politics, articulating for future chances to end the hegemony of the Red Ones and take the crown for themselves. The troubled relationship with other Toucan lords, however, has made it difficult for this legion to reconquer the hegemony in the region.

During the last great war, this was the only House among all the traditional ones from the Toucan’s Valley that, in fact, has threatened the Red hegemony. Aécio Neves, their leader, was very close to victory but suffered an unexpected setback in his homeland, where he made his name as governor. Some people think this may have been the cause of his defeat.

Despite the setback, the war, and the performance in battle gave notoriety and relevance throughout the kingdom to the leader of the house, who has collected more political, popular and war strengths to a further contest.

By conquering several lords for his domains – even those whose forces belonged to House Serra – Aécio became very popular among the bards and artists of the kingdom, being also the favorite leader among Public Walkers, who do not identify themselves with the recent decisions of the Throne.

His current goal is to save acquired political capital and remain as the natural choice to lead the Toucan’s Valley in the next War of Houses.

Valley

Despite having one of the richest regions of the kingdom under his domains, this House has been facing problems after the last war. Geraldo Alckmin, his master, has been able to maintain his power over the region of Toucan’s Valley’s rivers, but has faced other stressing issues. The region currently suffers from a significant lack of water and although there are two great rivers bordering their land, those cannot be used for supplying the local needs, once they are contaminated. Despite the problems, House Alckmin is still supported by the local population.

Their leader has had a lot of projection within the Toucan’s Valley and has also led one of the two great wars against Lula and the Red Ones in the past.

Although he is no longer the favorite Lord of the Valley, Alckmin should take advantage from the affection demonstrated by the Public Walkers, who scream against the Throne, to compete with Aécio and Serra for a chance to soon lead the Toucan's army.
